A Portrait Project with Real Purpose
You’ve faced harder things than most people can imagine.
Now we’re offering something just as brave: your story.
Honour Our Warriors is a free portrait photography initiative for British and Commonwealth veterans—especially those navigating PTSD, homelessness, broken systems, or the quiet weight of transition. Whether you served in combat or behind the scenes, your legacy matters. And it deserves to be seen, heard, and honoured.
📸 What You Get
- A totally free portrait session in a private, respectful studio
- Printed and digital photos to keep or share
- A chance to talk, reflect, and be heard—no pressure, no judgment
- Optional inclusion in our living archive to raise public awareness and guide future generations
- Special discounts for currently serving personnel
Why It Helps
Veterans like Stuart (ex-Parachute Regiment & SAS) say the experience helped them feel lighter, clearer, and proud.
“It was like therapy,” he said, “but with better lighting.”
We’ve seen laughter, tears, and real healing—because sometimes, being seen is the first step to feeling whole.
Why Your Story Matters
- Because Silence Kills.
- Homelessness is a Failure of the System.
- Mental Health Needs a Face.
- Relationships Break Under Pressure.
- Dignity is a Civil Right.
- Other Veterans Need Permission to Speak.
- Policy Makers Respond to Faces, not Files.
- Because Legacy Matters.
📚 What’s Next
We’re curating upcoming exhibitions across Bristol and beyond—bringing these powerful images and stories into public view.
And yes—a book is in the works.
A living archive of veteran voices, portraits, and reflections.
Not just for coffee tables, but for classrooms, libraries, and anyone who needs to understand what service really means.
We’re also expanding into street outreach, working alongside the Veterans Foundation and the Royal British Legion to reach those who’ve been left behind.
💬 What We’d Love to Hear
- What was it like serving?
- What was it like leaving?
- What helped—or didn’t—when you came home?
- What advice would you give to someone joining today?
You don’t have to bare your soul. Just share what you wish someone had told you.
